Challenge

Cellebrite’s training programs were vital to their operations, providing certifications that allowed customers to submit digital evidence in court. However, their traditional training model presented multiple challenges that limited scalability and efficiency. Delivering in-person training sessions required shipping hundreds of physical laptops globally, which was both costly and time-consuming. Additionally, managing training environments manually placed a significant burden on the team, delaying course setup and delivery. The fragmented experience of switching between Mac and Windows environments further frustrated students and trainers alike.

Solution

Cellebrite partnered with Heropa to centralize and modernize its training operations. Heropa provided a unified platform that consolidated Mac, Windows, and Linux environments, delivering a seamless and consistent training experience for all users. Trainers could independently manage their courses through an intuitive interface, while automated provisioning and lifecycle management streamlined operations and reduced manual overhead.

Cellebrite achieved significant improvements in cost efficiency, scalability, and operational effectiveness with Heropa. By transitioning to virtual environments, Cellebrite eliminated the need for over 120 physical laptops annually, along with the associated shipping and maintenance costs. Training programs became more agile, with trainers able to launch new courses in days rather than weeks. These improvements allowed Cellebrite to expand its reach globally and deliver training to thousands of users monthly without disruptions.

Heropa allowed us to turn our training unit from an IT shop back into a true training business. Trainers can now focus on creating better courses without worrying about delivery logistics.

Outlook

Looking forward, Cellebrite plans to deepen its partnership with Heropa to further enhance its training offerings. They aim to explore hybrid and offline solutions, leveraging Heropa’s compatibility with AWS Outposts to deliver secure training environments for high-security use cases. Additional plans include adding in-lab challenges and improving content delivery tools to create more engaging experiences for students.
